My art is me expressing my emotions in the way I know best. I sing, write & dance because it helps me cope & makes me feel good. I share it because I want others to know they’re not alone in feeling a certain way. I share my art because I want to inspire people, I want them to know that things will get better. I want them to look up to me and think “if she can do it, I can too”. My vocal timbre underlines my intentions as I tend to add vibrato and a soulful, deep sound to convey emotions. My lyrics tend to be personal and heartfelt, a vehicle for my message which I do on purpose. I deeply admire K-pop idols for their music has saved so many people. They were just there when that one person needed them, and that’s what I aspire to become myself. Specifically for this project, I hope my lyrics can ring true to my fellow classmates and make them feel a little less isolated than they are.
